Bullhide 4x4 started ten years ago as Bullhide Liner in Fort Collins. Then, four years ago, owners, Scott and Susan Butters, took a leap of faith, moved to a new location and expanded the business to full service 4WD accessories, service and repair. Bullhide 4x4 is a one stop shop with access to over 300 product lines offering a full line of accessories, parts and fabrication for vehicles ranging from the '40's to the current year. Bullhide 4x4 has 8,000 square feet of shop space and another 2,000 square feet for showroom and retail space. They have 2 full time ASE certified technicians plus 4 full time sales staff giving them 15 - 20 years of technical experience and 30+ years of retail experience. They pride themselves in their approach to customer service and value honesty and integrity with every sale they make. As for special projects, they have recently completed a competition buggy from the ground up. The next long term project is a frame-up restoration on an original owner's 1975 CJ5. Bullhide 4x4 is here to support the 4 wheel drive community for the long haul as evidenced by the recent purchase of their building. As a result of this purchase, they will be adding more space and staff to help accommodate the demands and needs of the communities they serve. This may also include new product lines and services available to their customers. The Bullhide 4x4 team is involved with community events and school district sponsorships. Further, they provide sponsorship for most of the Northern District 4 wheel drive clubs and offer discounts to club members. Bullhide 4x4 is passionate about "Van Angels"
which is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance
to groups, companies, churches, daycares, etc. to convert their current
12-15 passenger vans to dual wheels in back for stability. It was formed
from families losing loved ones on a mission trip in Mexico when the van
rolled after a flat tire and killed two people and injured many more.
The current vans are unsafe and there have been many deaths all over the
world in these vans. Bullhide 4x4 has worked with many local organizations,
provides the resources to convert the vans, and will continue to do this
as long as the vans are still on the road. Bullhide 4x4 believes it is
an education process and a time for parents and individuals to stand up
and say "we won't ride in them" - "we need it to be safe!" |
