  2. CALIFORNIA - FS Announces Launch of Over-Snow Vehicle Use Designation Analysis on Five Forests

    The Pacific Southwest Region (Region 5) of the U.S. Forest Service will soon begin environmental analysis under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) based on Subpart C of the Travel Management Rule. Five national forests in California are undertaking Subpart C analysis to improve their management of over-snow vehicle use and to designate a system of areas, roads, and trails, including groomed trails, for over-snow vehicle use.     ELKO, NV (October 29, 2014) -- Grant Gerber, a long-time advocate for public access to public lands (and a true cowboy of the open range), passed away recently.   4. NEVADA - BLM Hosts Public Meetings for the Draft RMP/EIS Las Vegas and Pahrump Field Offices
