  2. IDAHO - Nez Perce-Clearwater NF Extends Forest Plan Revision Scoping Comment Period

    The Forest Service has extended the scoping comment period for an additional 60 days on the Forest Plan Revision for the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. Information gathered during this scoping period, as well as other information, will be used to prepare the draft plan and the draft EIS. Comments must be received by November 14, 2014. The Nez Perce-Clearwater process is particularly important given some of the key issues and the long-running role of key participants including:

  3. NORTH CAROLINA - Forest Service to Host Trail Strategy Meeting

    The National Forests in North Carolina have announced that they will host a workshop on September 18, 2014, to address management of non-motorized and motorized recreation trails across the Uwharrie National Forest.   4. NATIONAL - Public Listening Sessions on BLM Planning 2.0 Initiative Slated for Denver and Sacramento

    As part of its ongoing effort to improve the management of the nation's public lands by working more efficiently with the public and partners, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will hold two public listening sessions on its Planning 2.0 initiative in Denver and Sacramento during October.
